Quarry Manager - Ryeflatts Quarry, Carnwath

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quarry Manager who will be based at our Ryeflatts, Sand and Gravel Quarry, near Carnwath.

Reporting to the area manager the successful candidate will hold full QR99 Reg 8.1c responsibilities.

The successful candidate should have previous practical experience in all aspects of sand and gravel quarrying operations from extraction to restoration.

The role will suit a self-motivated individual with the ability to manage and organise staff and demonstrate an understanding of engineering and legislation.

You will be customer focused, ensuring service and quality standards are met and maintained whilst performance is maximised. You will be a team player and be committed to delivering our company values.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience managing and leading teams.
  • Excellent awareness of current Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation.
  • Completed, or be working towards, a SHE NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Excellent understanding of Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP.
  • A good understanding of plant and machinery, including maintenance planning.

Quarry Operative - Ryeflatts Quarry, Carnwath

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quarry Operative at our Ryeflatts Sand and Gravel Quarry, based in Carnwath.

Key Duties will include:

  • Mobile and plant operations.
  • Assist in all duties related to day to day running of site
  • All other duties as required.

Who we are looking for

It is essential that successful candidate has:

  • Mobile plant skills, primarily loading shovel (valid tickets desirable)
  • A keen interest and commitment to Health and Safety and Environmental matters.
  • A willingness to work under pressure in a challenging, fast paced environment
  • A willingness to work outside in all weather conditions
  • A flexible approach to working hours and willingness to work regular overtime to meet the needs of the business when required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually as required.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering quality standards to our customers.
  • Full driving license.

Experience and qualifications in quarrying disciplines is desirable but not essential for the role as all relevant training will be provided

Quarry Labourer - Northfield Quarry, Denny, Falkirk, FK6 6RB

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quarry Labourer at our Hard Rock Quarry, based in Denny.

This opportunity attracts a competitive rate of pay which includes enhanced rates for overtime and 10 day’s holiday over the Christmas period as well as excellent training and career progression opportunities.

Key Duties will include:

  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the site at all times.
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • All other duties as assigned.
