Quarries Production Manager - Central Scotland

Tillicoultry Quarries Ltd is a successful family owned quarrying company and major supplier of aggregates, asphalt and ready-mixed concrete to the building and road construction industry throughout Central Scotland.

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the business for a Quarries Production Manager.  This is a senior management position reporting directly to the Board of Directors and is a key role within our business.

The successful candidate will lead our operations teams and will have demonstrable experience in both hard rock and sand and gravel operations with responsibility for all quarrying operations ensuring productivity and efficiency is maximised.  

The safety of our team and customers is our highest priority it is therefore essential that the successful candidate is qualified and has a commitment to ensuring best practice and compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental legislation

Mobile Crushing Operative - Central Scotland

We currently have an exciting opportunity to become part of a mobile crushing team covering our sites across Central Scotland.

This opportunity attracts a competitive rate of pay which includes enhanced rates for overtime and 10 day’s holiday over the Christmas period as well as excellent training and career progression opportunities.

Quarry Manager - Longyester Quarry, Haddington, EH41 4PL

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quarry Manager who will be based at our Longyester Sand and Gravel Quarry in Haddington, East Lothian. Reporting to the area manager the successful candidate will hold full QR99 Reg 8.1c responsibilities.

The successful candidate should have previous practical experience in all aspects of sand and gravel quarrying operations from extraction to restoration.

The role will suit a self-motivated individual with the ability to manage staff and demonstrate an understanding of engineering and legislation.

You will be customer focused, ensuring service and quality standards are met and maintained whilst performance is maximised. You will be a team player and be committed to delivering our company values.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience managing and leading teams.
  • Excellent awareness of current Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation.
  • Completed, or be working towards, a SHE NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Excellent understanding of Quarry Regulations 1999 and ACOP.
  • A good understanding of plant and machinery, including maintenance planning.

Quarry Fitter/Welder - Northfield, Denny, FK6 6RB

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Quarry Fitter/Welder to join our maintenance team at our Northfield Hard Rock Quarry.

The site comprises of large fixed Crushing /Screening installations and busy Asphalt /Concrete Plants.

You will carry out planned, preventive and breakdown maintenance activities which on certain tasks will require welding and fabrication skills.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for HGV Driver's at our Tulliallan Asphalt Site based in Kincardine and our Newtongrange Asphalt Plant based in Dalkeith.

Who we are looking for

It is essential that successful candidates have:

  • CPC card and full 35hrs
  • Experience working with digital tachographs.
  • Strong awareness of Driver Regulations specifically relating to Driver Hours & Working Time Regulations.
  • A keen interest and commitment to Health and Safety, and Environmental matters.
  • A willingness to work under pressure in a challenging, fast paced environment.
  • A flexible approach to working hours and willingness to work regular overtime to meet the needs of the business when required including weekends.
  • Strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering quality standards to our customers.

Mixer, tipper and articulated experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

We currently have som exciting opportuities for Labourers at Hard Rock Quarries in Denny and Harthill.

Key Duties will include:

  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the site at all times.
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • All other duties as assigned.
