Our products
We produce a full range of quality macadams, hot rolled asphalt concrete, coloured macadams, stone mastic asphalt and high PSV chipping. Our team ensures that our ready-mix concrete is supplied to your specification, and our crushed rock ranges from Granular Fill materials, Type 1 sub-base to high PSV single-sized aggregates and armour stone. We also supply sand, gravels and specialist sands.

ASPHALT – FULL RANGE OF MACADAMS
Tillicoultry Quarries is proud to be one of the largest suppliers of asphalt in Scotland’s central belt with additional sites in the Teeside and East Anglia, and being invested in our continual sustained growth, we have doubled our production capacity in the last five years.
We now cover all of Central Scotland, Teeside and East Anglia from our 9 high-performing asphalt plants at Cloburn, Clydebridge, Ely, Middlesbrough, Newtongrange, two at Northfield, Tams Loup and Tulliallan.
Investing in state-of-the-art plants has allowed us to increase our production capacity to over 2,500 tonnes an hour. Coupled with our high degree of responsiveness and flexibility, this gives confidence to our customers, no matter the size of their project.
Our plants produce a full range of macadams and hot rolled asphalt concrete. Additional products include coloured macadams and asphalts, stone mastic asphalt and deferred set macadam. Supplementary materials including white lime chippings, red chippings and jointing compound are also available.

Aggregates & Crushed Rock – Sub-bases, armour and chippings
From our five hard rock quarries, we produce a complete range of materials including granular fills, sub-bases, single sized aggregates, armour stone and high PSV chippings for the surface dressing market.
Our hard rock quarries are located at Craigfoot, Edston, Hillend, Northfield and Tams Loup.

Sand & gravel – Sand and gravel specialists
For those who require quality sand or gravel, Tillicoultry Quarries is ready to supply customers from its 8 sand and gravel units.
Located at Collessie, Dalhousie, Garnock, Hullerhill, Loanleven, Longyester, Prettsmill and Ryeflatt and our fleet of vehicles can deliver sand or gravel throughout Scotland and the North of England.
Alternatively, customers have the option to uplift from one of our sand and gravel units, located at each site.

Concrete – READY-MIX Concrete
Due to our continual growth, we now supply quality concrete from our 16 state of the art ready-mix concrete plants at Cardenden, Clydebridge, Costessey, Dundee, Greenock, Hartlepool, King’s Lynn, Newtongrange, Northfield, Perth, Peterborough, Snetterton, Stockton, Tams Loup, Tulliallan and Whisby. Many of these plants are specifically designed and have the flexibility to meet the requirements of large volume contracts and small volume uplifts.
Tillicoultry Quarries produces a wide range of quality ready-mix concrete to any specification. We also supply specialist concrete, including foamed concrete, heavy weight concrete, flowing concrete and high early strength concrete. We produce and deliver concrete using our own fleet of concrete mixer trucks.

Cement
Our high quality cement is transported by boat to our depot in Dundee, ensuring the product is delivered as sustainably as possible. Once at Dundee, it is held in storage silos that can fill rigid and artic tankers to deliver the product in bulk across Scotland.

Sports Sands
In recent years, we have invested in the supply of sports sand for all types of major golf courses, premier league football clubs, bowling greens and other sporting venues across Scotland.
Our range of specialist sands include top dressing sand, rootzone sand (USGA specification), bunker sand and divot mixes.
With our own fleet of vehicles, Tillicoultry Quarries can deliver sports sand throughout Scotland and the North of England. Alternatively, customers can uplift it from our sports sand units at Dalhousie, Garnock, Hullerhill and Ryeflatt.
Our self-draining, clay and dust-free sport sand products are processed to comply with appropriate ISO standards and Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) and can be delivered bagged or in bulk.

At Tillicoultry Quarries, we specialise in producing high-quality mortars and renders at our state-of-the-art dry powder production facility at Hullerhill. Each batch is a blend of premium raw materials and additives, ensuring consistent quality across all our products. Our rigorous testing at every stage of the manufacturing process, conducted under an ISO 9001 Quality System, guarantees that our silo and bagged mortars and renders not only offer excellent workability but also exhibit long term durability and long-lasting colour consistency.
We understand the varying needs of our customers, which is why both our mortars and renders are available in convenient formats; easy-to-handle weatherproof bags suitable for outside storage and our modern fleet of onsite silos equipped with all the latest mixers and control panels. This ensures flexibility and efficiency for diverse project requirements.
Our masonry mortars and renders are offered in an extensive range of colours catering to specific design and aesthetic preferences. To assist you in selecting the perfect match for your project, using our onsite high tech lab equipment we can provide the required samples of all our products upon request.
For onsite ease on completion of a survey, silo delivery includes the necessary mixing equipment, designed for straightforward use. Following full and compressive Tillicoultry Quarries silo training, any site operative can be certified to use equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
