We currently have an excellent opportuity for a Site Labourer at our Asphalt Plant based at Newtongrange in Dalketh.

Key Duties will include:

·         General housekeeping of the site.

·         Assist in all duties related to day to day running of site

·         All other duties as required.

Mortar Plant Operator - KA13 7QN Kilwinning

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mortar Plant Operator within our Hugh King business based at our Hullerhill Sand Quarry in Kilwinning.

Key duties will include:

·         Liaising with the quarry supervisor, office staff, mortar & bagging plant staff.

·         Operating and monitoring mortar plant & equipment.

·         General housekeeping of the mortar plant.

·         Assisting drivers loading their vehicles as required.

·         Quality and stock control duties.

·         All other duties as required.

Who we are looking for:

It is essential that successful candidate has:

·         Counter balance forklift experience. (Current tickets would be an advantage)

·         A willingness to work under pressure in a challenging, fast paced environment.

HGV Drivers - Tulliallan FK10 4DT

We currently have some exciting opportunities for Class 1 (CE) and Class 2 (C) HGV Drivers based at our Asphalt Plant in Kincardine.

This opportunity attracts a competitive rate of pay which includes enhanced rates for overtime and 10 day’s holiday over the Christmas period. Tillicoultry Quarries also operates with new Scania vehicles and offers excellent training and career progression opportunities.

Who we are looking for

It is essential that successful candidates have:

·         CPC card and full 35hrs

·         Experience working with digital tachographs.

·         Strong awareness of Driver Regulations specifically relating to Driver Hours & Working Time Regulations.

·         A keen interest and commitment to Health and Safety, and Environmental matters.

·         A willingness to work under pressure in a challenging, fast paced environment.

·         A flexible approach to working hours and willingness to work regular overtime to meet the needs of the business when required including weekends.

·         Strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering quality standards to our customers.

Mixer, tipper and articulated experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Weighbridge/Transport Co-ordinator - Newtongrange Dalkeith EH22 4QN

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Weighbridge/Transport Co-ordinator based at our Newtongrange Site. The successful candidate will be involved in the day to day running of the transport operation across the South East of Scotland.

The successful candidate will be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well a part of a team in a busy office environment.

Hours:

·         6am – 4pm Monday to Friday with some weekend working required depending on the needs of the business.

Key Duties Include:

·         Operating the weighbridge, matching and filing weighbridge tickets.

·         Planning and organisation of vehicles to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness.

·         Dealing with general customer enquiries, i.e. orders, deliveries.

·         Assist with scheduling in line with customer delivery requirements.

·         Liaise with other sites regarding customer requirements.

·         General office administration, filing, data input, checking emails.

 

As our Weighbridge/Transport Co-ordinator, it is essential that you have:

·         Experience working in an administration role.

·         Polite and professional and courteous approach to dealing with customers.

·         Excellent attention to detail skills.

·         Excellent organisational, time management skills.

·         Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

·         Ability to work accurately under pressure.

·         Excellent IT Skills, Word, Excel, Outlook.

Experience working in a similar role within the construction/quarrying industry would be advantageous but is not essential.  This is an exciting opportunity to fulfil a vital role within a fast growing and successful business.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Office Administrator, based at our Tulliallan, Head Office.

The successful candidate will be customer focused, reliable, well organised and be able to work well a part of a team in a busy office environment.

Hours: 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday with some weekend working required depending on the needs of the business.

The successful candidate will be given full training to deliver administrative support to our busy Head Office where our Finance and Transport support functions are based.
